Johnny "JD" Doeskin (photo by Janey Doeskin)Johnny “JD” Doeskin was raised in north-central Colorado. When he writes, he draws from his personal experiences, including his time at a Roman Catholic boarding school. After high school, he focused his studies on the natural sciences and anthropology. He has lived and worked in several other Western states, as well as two states in Mexico. Much of his professional and personal time was spent serving and learning from Indigenous North Americans.
JD is a life-long outdoorsman, being proficient in a variety of primitive living skills. Besides the natural world, his interests include habitat conservation, regenerative agriculture, working outdoors, oil painting and visiting antique and thrift stores and traveling with his wife. They now reside in the heart of the rural Midwest. HAND TALKER is his first novel.
